A small historical reference

Kamyzyak - center of Kamyzyaksky district of the Astrakhan region, located on the south of the region, on the sleeve Kamyzyak in the delta of the Volga River. The city history begins with the founding of the village at the fishing uchuge Kamyzyak (solid walls of the river, arranged in order to keep climbing up the river fish catch it).

In 1890 year in the village was opened two-year parochial school, rural male and female class school. In 1900 year in the tea room was open a library. The population was engaged in fishing. In the village housed two churches, a brick factory, fish crowd, several manufactories, grocery stores, a wine shop and a private pharmacy. To provide medical care had emergency room with one paramedic.
