Geography: Alzamay is a town in Nizhneudinsky District of Irkutsk Oblast, located on the Toporok River (Angara River's basin) 600 kilometers (370 mi) northwest of Irkutsk and 90 kilometres (56 mi) from Nizhneudinsk.

Date of foundation: Year of foundation Alzamaya is the year 1887 when started the official survey for laying the railway track. Town status - 1955

History: In 1899 begin construction settlement around Alzamay railway station.
