History of city Gornyak, Altai Krai in photos

A small historical reference

Gornyak - Loktevsky center area of the Altai Territory, situated in the southwest of the Altai Territory, on the border with the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the river Zolotukha (a tributary of the river Aleya). Date of establishment - 1942. Previous name - Zolotukha. The city history begins with settlement at Zolotushinskom mine ores, opened in 1751.

Main plant of city - enterprise processing, which is engaged in mining and processing of ore, copper, zinc, lead and tin. Also in the city there are Neverovskaya crushing and screening plant, lime plant Loktevsky, small food production.

Date of foundation: 1942. Town status - 1969.
